Adapted from the ‘classical’ exercises developed by Joseph Pilates, Body Control Pilates offers a comprehensive programme of exercises for the mat.   


Becki holds a Level 3 Matwork Qualification which included 13 tuition days, anatomy exams, 50 hours of practice teaching, and a final teaching exam.

The Reformer, tower, ladder Barrel, & Wunda Chair use springs and their unique shapes to provide load, resistance, support and challenge.


Becki has completed training on all of these and taken the Reformer examination with Body Control Pilates.

I learnt how to assess individual clients and adapt my Pilates teaching with confidence, understanding how fascia, breath, biotensegrity and nervous system regulation are all essential to restoring pelvic health.


The mentorship included 6 months of learning and an in depth case study.

Menopause

Pilates can play a positive role during menopause, to improve muscle strength, bone health, and mental wellbeing.


Becki has completed the 'Evergreen' 3rd Age Woman Menopause Transition Certification, and the Body Control Pilates menopause course.

Adapted Pilates exercises by a qualified instructor can help in the prevention and management of low back pain .


Becki has completed additional training, workbook, and case study in low back pain and received a Level 4 Qualification awarded by Active IQ and ratified by Ofqual.

When taught by properly qualified teachers Pilates is recommended as safe and effective exercise for those with osteoporosis. 


Becki has completed additional training, workbook, and case study and holds a Pilates for Bone Health Qualification awarded by Active IQ and ratified by Ofqual.

Older Adults

Adapted exercises are a great way to maintain strength and mobility in older adults and helping with tasks of everyday living. 


Becki has completed additional training, and received a Level 3 Qualification in Physical Activity and Health Considerations for the Older Adult.

Pilates can play a significant role in helping a hypermobile person manage their condition and maintain quality of everyday life.


Becki has completed additional training, and passed an assessment that demonstrates her understanding of working with hypermobile conditions.
